Romeo & Juliet ( Book V.S Film)

Romeo & Juliet

(Book V.S Film)

In these blog I am going to write about the differences between the book of Romeo & Juliet by Shakespeare and the film by Baz Luhrmann´s.

The film is similar to the book but there are some things that are different.
The film makes us feel much more into the story because you can feel  the violence  by the props they use for example guns, cars, cigarettes and the tone of voice they use. It also makes us feel much more the love Romeo have to Juliet because you can see their face expressions and the way they feel when they first met.

DIFFERENCES

  • In the book they don´t specify the way the characters say things or the props they use but in the film they act it much better and you are able to see the props they use or how characters dress, sometimes the way you dress can show your personality,  for example when I read the book I would never imagine Lady Capulet, they way she is in the scene. These is how I imagine Lady Capulet.
These is how Lady Capulet looks in the film

  • Another difference is that at the beginning of the film it appears Benvolio, Gregory and Sampson while at the beginning of the book they only appear Gregory and Sampson but then it enters Benvolio. So these makes that fact of the book change
